Dr. Cocoa cough + cold for children- Relief with a smile Review
I recently was in a local Kroger pharmacy waiting on my son's medicine to be filled for a common cold. I was looking around at cough medicine. I saw one that caught my eye; Dr. Cocoa. It has a cute owl on the front so I picked up the box to read it. I was surprised to read it has 10% real cocoa for a real chocolate taste. My first thought - my son likes chocolate so I'm wondering if he would take this without any problems or fussing at me. I bought the nighttime Dr. Cocoa cough & cold. My son's coughing always gets worse at nighttime.
Dr. Cocoa Nighttime Cough & Cold; Relieves cough, congestion (stuffy nose), sneezing and running nose.
Intended for ages; 6-13
I got home from the store and decided I would try the product to see if it was really good as it sounded. I know when kids are feeling sick they don't want to taste medicine that doesn't taste good. I opened it and tasted a tiny bit. YUM! It tasted just like chocolate. I wished they would have had this when I was younger growing up.
I gave my 9 year old son some about a hour before bed time on Friday night. He was so excited to try it. I still had some thoughts in my head would he like it as I did? Would he spit it out? What would be his reaction. He took it like a pro and said "How did you talk someone into making some good cough medicine FINALLY!" I laughed and said "It's a new product I found while waiting on your medicine to be filled."
My son went to sleep and slept all night with hardly coughing any throughout the night. He was well rested unlike a couple nights before when he coughed all night and was just tired and sluggish the next day.
It passed the test! We will surely be buying more of Dr. Cocoa's cough & Cough and Cold medicines in the near future for all of our needs. Thanks for a great product.
