These 100% pure silicone, BPA free, FDA approved, and one size fits all. They are 100% waterproof and yes I tested them out by washing dishes. It covers your wrist so if you are taking something out of the oven. I love how lightweight, flexible and they have a no slip grip design. You can use these in temperatures up to 425 degrees Fahrenheit - these are heat resistant. The gloves are incredibly durable and aren't made cheaply at all.
My mom didn't like how they felt on her hand. They didn't feel comfortable to her and she worried that she may get burnt using them to get items out of the oven. However told me she may could use them to do other things with such as opening cans or jars, handling our dog so she can cut its nails, washing our vehicles. It's a lot of multipurpose ways you can use these gloves.
Overall they are durable and can be used as multipurpose gloves. They work different for everyone. These just were not for us while baking or cooking. We did find other uses for them.
