I was so excited the day I received this intellipillow in the mail. I couldn't wait to try it out that night. However as the day went on I got a incredibly horrible migraine. I'm sure it from the switching of the weather. I've dealed with them all my life. I usually can't get comfortable on a pillow when I have a migraine. I toss and turn and just feel horrible. However with this intellipillow it was perfect. I didn't get too hot and by the next morning my migraine had eased up and not as bad. I slept well on the intellipillow and I'm personally a side sleeper also most night. I also don't have a stiff neck each morning either after waking up from using the intellipillow. I'm so loving this intellipillow. The best feature to me is that it won't get hot and stays cool and it will automatically adjust to the contour of my neck and face. It's just all around awesome. It's well worth every penny and to me yes my night sleep and even my naps are well worth $150.

This is a foam pillow on the inside and covered with a blue gel. It comes with a cover that zips closed. You can adjust this pillow to fit your needs. The intellipillow will easily adjust for you by using the built-in pump and release mechanism.
To fill your intellipillow you will just need to lie in your intellipillow with the air chamber under your neck and the rounded edge of the pillow firmly against the shoulder. You'll grasp the pump with your thumb covering the full hole and squeeze. This will allow the pump section to refill with air. You'll repeat this until you reach the desired support level. Your level you can pump will be between 30-50 pumps taken. I would say just start with around 20-30 pumps at first then go from there. It only took a few for me to get mine perfect for my head and neck. You will need to be sure that you don't over inflate your air chamber inside of the intellipillow while finding your sweet spot.
The to release you will need to be lying on the intellipillow push the release valve until desired fill level is obtained. Then once you fill the pillow it should not need to be adjusted again. You should be good to go and have a good night rest.
The intellipillow should give you the same comfort and support regardless of which side you choose to use.
You will need to give yourself a few days/nights to adjust to the intellipillow with your body. The intelli-gel sleep support system has been scientifically designed to provide optimized spinal alignment and your body will need a few nights to adjust to a better alignment.
It is recommended that you keep your intellipillow inside of a pillowcase and covered. Yes the pillow has a slight smell when you open it, but it will go away.
You can wash the cover on the pillow. However you will have to carefully remove the cover from your intellibed pillow. You can machine wash in cold water, however do not bleach. Tumble dry on low heat. You can also take it to be professionally cleaned.
You can spot clean the pillow itself using a mild detergent, air dry away from direct sunlight and heat. However do not machine wash or dry clean the intellipillow itself.
