These are great for those DIY projects. My kids wanted lights in their room they could change the color of and stuff. Ok so why not these? You can cut these to fit what you would like to use them for. I put them around the window. I saw no need to go around the top of the room because it wasn't long enough and it would end up being a gap. The backing would not stick to the walls. I ended up getting that double sided tape like I use on my wrapping of Christmas gifts. It works really well so far. The kids love changing the colors of the lights. I did notice that some colors aren't exactly right as they should be. That control is really sensitive too. I give this product four stars. It also didn't come with an instruction manual. A guy friend of mine luckly knew how to work these.
